About Active Assistance

For over 25 years, we have supported children, young people and adults with complex needs to build confidence, maintain independence, and achieve a better quality of life - both in their homes and through our wider care services.

  • Over 25 years’ specialist experience
  • Nurse-led and clinically governed
  • Supporting individuals across England and Wales

A Leading Complex Care Provider in the UK

Active Assistance (part of Active Care Group) is one of the UK’s most experienced providers of complex care, supporting individuals with a wide range of high-dependency and long-term needs.

Unlike many home care providers, our focus is not just on general domiciliary care. We specialise in supporting people whose needs are more complex - whether due to neurological conditions, injury, disability or ongoing health requirements.

Our approach is built around understanding the individual: their goals, their environment, and the level of support needed to help them live safely and confidently at home

A Joined-up Pathway from Rehabilitation to Home

What sets us apart is our ability to support people at every stage of their journey. Through Active Care Group's wider services - including specialist rehabilitation, residential care, supported living and neurological support - we provide a joined-up pathway that extends beyond home care alone.

For many individuals, returning home after hospital or rehabilitation is a critical and often complex transition. We work closely with clinical teams, therapists and case managers to ensure care is coordinated, consistent, and aligned to the individual’s recovery.

This continuity allows individuals to:

  • Maintain progress made during rehabilitation
  • Build independence within a familiar environment
  • Receive ongoing support that evolves with their needs

Our Approach to Care

Our support is designed to be both clinically robust and deeply personal. Every package is built around the individual, combining clinical oversight with day-to-day support to create a holistic approach that reflects not just medical needs, but lifestyle, routines and personal goals.

Care is overseen by experienced professionals, including Registered Nurses and Care Managers, ensuring that support remains safe, structured and responsive as needs change.
